Whether you are already using your iPhone or have yet to take it out of the box, iPhone: A Comprehensive Introduction is for you. This 3 session class delves deep into the functionality and skills to make your iPhone enjoyable and an asset in your everyday life.
This course starts at the beginning by reviewing the phone itself and discussing hardware and it’s functionality. From there we proceed through all of the touches and gestures needed to navigate on your iPhone. Once you’ve mastered the touches and gestures we explore all the settings that allow you to create a user experience customized to suit your needs.
Need to learn how to use your iPhone to organize your busy schedule? We explore working with contacts, create custom ringtones and vibrations as well as discuss and configure the notification settings to make staying connected a snap. Then we’ll utilize the calendar and reminder apps to quickly schedule out your days and setup alerts to keep you aware of upcoming events.
The iPhone experience is not complete without utilizing the millions of apps. We’ll browse the App Store to learn how to easily find the latest and greatest Apps to use your phone to it’s maximum potential without wasting money on Apps that don’t live up to your expectations. We’ll also shop the iTunes store to find your favorite music, movies or television shows to download to your phone for your viewing or listening pleasure.
The popularity of the iPhone brings along certain risks and potential pitfalls for all users. We’ll discuss the importance of security, data storage and iCloud to allow you to synch and protect your data, and also locate your iPhone if it lost or stolen.
In addition there is also time set aside for your questions during the last class to make sure that we hit on any topics that you are curious about or to address any problems that you are experiencing.
